Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HelpingApps ("we", "us") handles your information when you use GoHa QR Code Creator ("the app"), our QR-code and barcode generator and scanner. It applies to the GoHa QR web, Android, and iOS apps.

1. Information we collect

• Account information (optional). The app works on-device without an account. If you create a HelpingApps account or sign in with Google or Apple to sync, we receive your email, a user identifier, and (if provided) your name. Email passwords are stored only as a salted hash.
• Your codes. The codes you create (their content, titles, and styling) are stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync, they are also stored on our behalf so you can access them across devices.
• Camera. The scanner uses your camera only to read codes on your device. Scanned content is processed locally and is not sent to us.
• Technical data. Standard server logs when the app syncs to the cloud.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the app — generate, store, scan, and (if enabled) sync your codes.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your codes for advertising.

3. On-device by default

By default your codes stay on your device and need no account. Cloud sync is optional and only happens when you sign in and turn it on.

4. Sign in with Google & Apple

If you use Google or Apple sign-in, we receive a verified token with your email and a provider identifier to create or match your account. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

5. Service providers

For cloud sync we rely on Amazon Web Services and our database host, which process data only to provide services to us.

6. Data retention & deletion

On-device codes remain until you delete them or uninstall the app. You can delete cloud-synced codes any time, and deleting your HelpingApps account removes your associated data across HelpingApps products.

7. Security

Synced data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest. No method is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard safeguards.

8. Children

GoHa QR Code Creator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the effective date above.
