Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HelpingApps ("we", "us") handles your information when you use GoHa Link Shortener ("the app"), our URL shortening service on the goha.fyi domain. It applies to the GoHa web app, Android app, and iOS app.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you create a HelpingApps account or sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address, a unique user identifier, and (if you provide it) your name. Email passwords are stored only as a salted hash.
- Your links. The destination URLs, short back-halves, titles, and tags you create are stored so we can serve your short links and show them back to you.
- Click data. When someone follows one of your short links, we count the click. We do not sell this data.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and request times) generated by the redirect and app services.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the service — authenticate you, store your links, and perform the public redirects from short links to their destinations.
- To show you click counts and (for upgraded accounts) link analytics.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
3. Public redirects
Short links are public: anyone who has a short link can follow it to its destination, and following it increments its click count. Do not shorten URLs that contain private tokens or secrets.
4. Sign in with Google & Apple
If you use Google or Apple sign-in, we receive a verified token containing your email and a provider identifier, used to create or match your account. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
5. Service providers
We rely on infrastructure providers including Amazon Web Services (compute) and our database host. They process data only to provide services to us.
6. Data retention & deletion
We retain your account and links until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a link disables its redirect. Deleting your HelpingApps account removes your associated data across HelpingApps products.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption at rest. No method is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard safeguards.
8. Children
GoHa Link Shortener is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the effective date above.
