eNotes is the digital notebook inside HelpingApps. You can write notes, import PDFs to annotate, and keep everything synced across your devices. Here's how to get going in a couple of minutes.
1. Create your account
Open the app and sign in with email, Google, or — on iPhone and iPad — Sign in with Apple. Your account is what keeps your notebooks safely backed up and available on every device.
2. Make your first notebook
- Open eNotes from the home screen.
- Tap New notebook and give it a name (e.g. "Biology").
- Start writing — your work saves automatically.
3. Import a PDF to annotate
Have a textbook chapter or worksheet as a PDF? Import it straight into a notebook and mark it up:
- Inside a notebook, choose Import PDF.
- Pick the file from your device.
- Highlight, underline and write directly on the pages. (See our guide on annotating PDFs on a tablet.)
4. Your notes sync automatically
When you're signed in, notebooks back up to the cloud and appear on your other devices. Start on your laptop, continue on your tablet — your notes follow you.
5. Ask the AI Assistant about your notes
Open any notebook, tap the golden AI button in the toolbar. The assistant reads your pages (handwriting + typed text + imported PDF content) and answers questions with page references you can tap to jump back.
